Welcome to the Reno Video Game Symphony's registration page for Press Play: Community Music Day! This event commemorates our 15th anniversary, and we are excited to welcome you to join us for a day of fun and learning.
A few notes:

- The event will be held at the Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows at Donald W. Reynolds Youth & Teen Facility in Reno. Exact location will be sent upon registration.

- Participants must register by August 1, 2026. The event will take place Sunday, August 23rd.

- The event has varying start times depending on the ensemble(s) you choose to participate in.
- Jazz has a check in time of 9am
- Orchestra has a check in time of 9:30am
- Choir has a check in time of 11:30am

- Registration for participating musicians costs $25, which includes a commemorative t-shirt and lunch. There are a limited number of scholarship spots, so if the registration fee is not feasible, please reach out as we still want you to participate!

- There will be an open concert from 4pm-5pm. Tickets are not required as this performance is free to attend, however, donations are happily accepted. We are a 501(c)(3) organization and thrive solely on donations at this time.

- The jazz ensemble is open to non-standard instrumentation for this one-day event! If you're a violin, oboe, ocarina - whatever - we want you to try jazz! Soloing is not mandatory.

- You may participate in both jazz and orchestra or jazz and choir, but you cannot participate in both orchestra and choir as they will be rehearsing and performing at the same time.

- This event is open to all ages and to most skill levels. We do require a foundation of reading simple sheet music. Each piece will have different parts for different skill levels starting at around middle school and going upwards into collegiate.

- Please either print your music or have it downloaded to a music reading device of your choice. We will not have printed copies of music available day-of.

- You must bring your own instrument and music stand. This includes keyboard and percussion instruments. If you require amplification, you must also bring your own amp and electrical cords. You are responsible for keeping track of instruments and accessories you bring and we suggest labeling them as appropriate.

- Regarding percussion, there is a limited amount of larger percussion and smaller percussion available to you, but if you would like a guarantee you'll be able to play a specific instrument, please bring it.
